We administer Medicare Part D Prescription Drug Plans, Medicare Advantage Prescription Drug (MAPD) plans, and state Medicaid plans. Our Fortune 500 company is based in Tampa, Pharmacy Residency Program. The Pharmacy Department employs more than 300 full-time associates, including more than 30 pharmacists. CareerHostPlans provides biological therapies for a variety of chronic diseases through Exactus Pharmacy Solutions, our specialty pharmacy. In addition, our department serves as a clerkship site for pharmacy doctoral candidates from multiple colleges of pharmacy. Purpose The purpose of CareerHostPlans' PGY1 Managed Care Pharmacy Residency Program is to prepare residents for a clinical pharmacy career within the managed care environment. Residents will receive practice in working with an integrated health care system, health plan or with a pharmacy benefit manager. Residents will gain substantial experience in formulary development and management, member quality, rebate contracting, drug utilization review, project management, and medication therapy management. Residents will also be exposed to mail order operations, benefit design and drug-use policy development. Finalist Interview We require an on-site interview to CareerHostPlans Health Plans for final acceptance into our program. Applicants will be invited in February or March based upon their application materials and interview by phone or at the ASHP Midyear Clinical Meeting & Exhibition. The interview will include a candidate presentation. |
